Volunteering Contributions and Field Actions
A significant moment of the ongoing project was the visit to the “Agapi” Stray Animals Center in Pylaia on 10 December 2025, which was highly successful. During the visit, the volunteering team actively supported the shelter by cleaning and maintaining the facilities, contributing directly to improved hygiene conditions and animal welfare.
The volunteers met with members of the Board, including Mrs. Botonaki, whose warm reception we sincerely appreciate. We are grateful for her trust in opening the shelter to the team and are proud to have contributed through meaningful, hands-on support, reinforcing cooperation between local animal welfare structures and international volunteering initiatives.
Furthermore, the volunteers participated in the fundraising Bazaar organized by “Agapi” on 13 December 2025 at the Crowbar Rock Restaurant. Their presence and support strengthened community engagement, raised awareness on stray animal protection, and contributed to the sustainability of the shelter through social solidarity.
Ongoing Impact
Through these actions, Skyrthalia vol. II – Pawsitive Parks is already generating tangible local impact, combining environmental responsibility, civic participation, and compassion-centered volunteering. The project enhances local capacity, promotes empathy toward stray animals, and highlights the role of youth volunteering in fostering sustainable, humane, and inclusive urban communities.
