SKYRTHALIA project was an initiative between 6-22 December 2024 pursuing regenaration of an eco-awareness local community, starting being engaged more actively to several issues of high priority regarding their neighborhoods.
Our participants have been asked to self-reflect and peer review the outcomes of the specific volunteering in teams activity.
Thus.... on the final day of self-reflection, an enchanting event unfolded. Picture a room buzzing with laughter, curiosity, and a hint of mystery, all brought to life through a simple game involving balloons. The twist? Each balloon contained a question crafted by someone else, sparking connections and intriguing conversations.
Each person received a colorful balloon, each containing a unique question designed to foster connection and laughter. The anonymity of who asked which question added an element of surprise. As laughter filled the space, participants found themselves reflecting not only on their answers but also on the creativity of those around them. This was not simply a game; it was a thoughtful experience aimed at promoting self-discovery through shared insights.
With each balloon popped, a new question was revealed. Examples included “What is one lesson you learned the hard way?”Such questions provoked deep reflections and encouraged honest exchanges.
Participants stepped outside their comfort zones. This spontaneity helped unveil hidden aspects of their personalities that everyday life often conceals, creating deeper connections.
By the game's end, the balloon game had achieved more than just entertainment. It transformed into a powerful platform for self-reflection and understanding. Participants left with not only their own answers but also fresh insights into the experiences of their peers.
The process shed light on how effective questions can guide self-discovery and growth. It underscored that sometimes, a simple game can spark genuine connections and offer profound insights about ourselves and those around us. This experience reminded participants of the importance of vulnerability and open communication in building a community.
